At Sassetti LLC, we have a long history of volunteer service within our local community and beyond. For decades, the partners of our firm have been active volunteers as board members of both local organizations and their congregations. Our former managing partner, Robert Sassetti established a tradition of service, by serving as an officer of both his church and many local organizations in the Oak Park-River Forest community. Our current directors have served on the boards of local social service organizations, arts organizations, business associations and churches. In addition, they have volunteered on school committees, coached softball and soccer teams, run leagues and volunteered at soup kitchens.
The importance of service is also reflected in our staff, who serve in many capacities, including as volunteers for children with physical impairments, at a local animal shelter, as coaches for children's sports teams, on event committees for local domestic violence agencies and historical societies, and by serving at a local soup kitchen.
Our staff participates in the annual Illinois CPA Society's service day. Last year, seven members of our staff served breakfast at one of our client's sites - a provider of services to the homeless in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago. Our staff initiated the process and were led by two of our audit supervisors.
In 2007, we received the Oak Park Area Arts Council's Business Leadership Award, reflecting many years of volunteer service and assistance to arts organizations in the Oak Park area.
